Poetry Corner: With Age Comes Wisdom

With age comes wisdom
is what I am told
I hope to remember this
      when I grow old.
As days and weeks, and years go by,
a foolish gleam stays in my eye.
I am young and foolish
      and can’t let go.
But youth and foolishness
change to maturity and I grow.
With each and everyday I live,
I find there is so much to give.
There is more to life than material wealth,
such as helping others and believing in yourself.
With age comes wisdom is what I am told
I hope to remember this when I grow old.
