April is National Poetry Month.  Evelyn took inspiration from scriptures Job 38:36, and Isaiah 2:3 and 40:12-29 for her poem. Prepare to be inspired.

      Who Hath?

     A poem by Evelyn Allen

Who hath measured the waters
In the hollow of His hand?
And meted out heaven with the span?
And comprehended the dust
Of the earth in a measure?
Weighed the mountains in scales
For His good pleasure?
Who hath taken up the isles
As a very little thing?
Who hath directed His Spirit
Or created His Being?
With whom took He counsel
And who instructed Him?
Who giveth power to the faint
And increaseth the strength of them?
Who hath created the heavenly host
That your eyes beholdeth on high?
And placed them there in the heavenly sky?
Who calleth the heavenly host by names
Because of the greatness of His might?
And blesses us to see them
In the beauty of the night?
Who stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain
And spreadeth them out as a tent?
And brings us to dwell in them
But charges us no rent?
With whom shall you liken Him?
Or with what likeness will you compare?
This Almighty who hath shown us
Such great and loving care?
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts
Or hath given understanding to the heart?
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
Hath it not been told you
From the beginning in His word?
It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth.
The everlasting God and One true Lord.
Who shows us that His universe operates on one accord.
The Creator of the ends of the earth!
There is no searching to His understanding
Of how He made this world and us
All at His commanding.
He will teach us His ways.
And we will walk in His path.
Now, there’s no need to wonder, Who hath!
