Meet the Mascots: Miz Coco and Mr. Peaches
Every organization needs a mascot, and we actually have two characters here at Boomer Connections that we would like you to meet.
Coco belongs to Cherie but has now been assimilated into the Boomer team. You can see how much she contributes to the vibe.
Many have thought her name derives from the many years Cherie and her family lived in Hershey Pennsylvania, but actually, she is named after Coco Chanel, for her effortlessly chic sense of style.
Look at that manicure!
She is:
Cute and sweet…
But sometimes indelicate…
Never turns down a special treat…
…and you wonder why she is our mascot?!
Coco is US!
Mr. Peaches belongs to our photographer Loralee, and has joined Boomer Connections as our feline mascot.
We have all known men like Mr. Peaches in our lifetime: A good old boy, a bruiser, a loveable lout.
Peaches is a portly gentleman….really portly. When he is lapping up milk I can’t help but think we should throw down a can of Bud. The Peach calls to mind big men, professional wrestlers like Hulk Hogan or characters like the elder Orson Wells or Shakespeare’s Sir John Falstaff.
Am I right?
But while Peaches is more lover than fighter, he is no Rosebud. He is his own man and can take you or leave you, in the manner of cats.
In people years these characters are Baby Boomer vintage at least, they are starting to move a little slower, just like us. Yet they serve as great role models and non-stop inspiration, because their light has not dimmed in the slightest with age. They continue to keep us amused and engaged, fulfilling their life’s purpose in the most beautiful way. No wonder some doctors say one of the best things you can do for your heart is to have a pet.
XOXO Mr. Peaches and Miz Coco. We just love you.
Send in pictures of your pets! We’ll make a pet wall on the blog.
Mr. Peaches is a perfect Falstaf! You nailed it!
