Handling Stress

We all have stressful situations.  How we handle them will either create a health issue or help us evaluate why we are experiencing this stress. Making sure you take time for YOU such as finding a creative outlet, meditating, taking an exercise class, walking, praying, singing, dancing, BREATHING, are all fabulous ways to keep your stress level under control. Doing FOR YOU is so very important.  I have told my viewers, listeners, colleagues, friends, and clients: “There is not someone who is going to tap you on the shoulder and say, ‘I see you are experiencing a stressful situation and notice your health is taking it’s toll.  Let me take care of you.’  It is Imperative for YOU to take care of YOURSELF.”

Listen to your body.  Be aware of your situation, and if there is stress, handle it with love and care.  I have found there are times during the day, I need to take a break, even for a few minutes.  Learning what stressors set you off in a tizzy can be the difference between having a wonderfully fabulous day to having a day where you are not feeling well and just want to give up.  Where are YOU?  We live in such a stressful world.  Negativity surrounds us in many ways.  Stressful situations come at us like lightning bolts.  How do you react?  You don’t have to listen to the negative news.  You can turn your sadness into happiness, your negative mood into a positive mood, your fear into trust, your anger into LOVE.  Start looking at the positive side of your life.  Begin reading positive quotes. Take time to stroll in a park and enjoy what nature has to offer.

As we age, we find we go through daily stages.  Our emotions can be all tangled up, we are in a hurry, or we can’t move the way we used to move.  Start by reevaluating what is happening at THAT VERY MOMENT. Stop, Think, and LISTEN to what your body, mind, and spirit are telling you. Work on opening up your third eye which is your INTUITION.  We all have INTUITION.  You just need to stop, breathe, and listen to your inner-self. Listening to my intuition has saved me from many stressful situations.  Sometimes I don’t quite agree with my intuition, but I TRUST my INTUITION no matter what!  AND I DON’T ARGUE with my intuition.

The reality of it is, we all will be faced with stress during a twenty-four hour period.  This is LIFE.  Move THROUGH the stress and move ON.  Learn how to recognize what stressors you are facing and see how looking at the positive side of the situation will enable you to handle the issue.

This is not easy, you have to work at it and be mindful of how your body will react.  Seventy-five to ninety percent of the people who have health issues and opt to go to the doctor are related to STRESS!  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/joe-robinson/stress-and-health_b_3313606.html

It is time to start loving YOURSELF!  It is time to start being at peace with yourself and with those around you.  Think of the Beatles song, “Love, Love, Love.”  We are approaching our twilight years.  Make the very best of your years.  Remember, once time is used, we cannot get those fleeting minutes back.  They are GONE!  We either have wonderful memories or wish we could do those moments again in a more positive way.

I do my very best to be positive, think positive, act positive, and do positively AMAZING things during the day.  Sometimes, stress creeps up and hits me in the back, but I am being more attuned to recognizing those stressors.  My very favorite four words are, “It’s not my problem.” These four words have helped me through many challenging times and released the stress I was feeling, even if it was for a very short moment.  Don’t make other people’s problems YOURS!!  This creates more stress than you can imagine.  Move on and see what you can do to make your life the most AMAZING life you can EVERY DAY!

May you enjoy Peace, Love, and Total AMAZEMENT!

BE AMAZING!

  1. I find writing/journaling/blogging the best way to deal with stress and I teach others as well. Relaxation is very important especially theses days with so much going on around us.
