Welcome to Small Pursuits of Happiness
Ok Boomers, are you ready? This is the year we are going to stick to our New Year’s Resolution to pursue engagement and fun with intent. We have a list, so stay tuned as it grows!
Many life coaches advise clients that you need to “get out of your comfort zone” in order to achieve success…but that implies a challenge. We admit we don’t have a burning desire to be challenged to any extreme degree. We really just want to have a good time. After our 5 to 7 decades of living and working, we deserve it! Our goal with the “Small Pursuits of Happiness” is to take small actions that make for happier and more engaged living, and then report back here on our blog.
Some of the activities we have planned may veer off the beaten path, maybe something we haven’t done before—or don’t do often enough—but are firmly within the zone of comfort. Some are just small gestures or pursuits that add a little bit of whimsy and pleasure, and maybe even childlike wonder, into our lives. Some cost money, usually not that much, and others are totally free. None require a passport.
Just Small Adventures, the sort of thing that makes life worth living. We can’t wait to have them, and we can’t wait to share them. #1 Adventure follows.
Happy New Year! So much to look forward to in 2019!!
